Aggrelite™ is an expanded shale lightweight aggregate product. Aggrelite™ is an excellent structural fill when utilized behind mechanically stabilized walls. This is due to the high angle of internal friction offered by Aggrelite ™ and the lighter weight of the material. Together these two properties alone reduce lateral stresses and promote stabilization. The insulating qualities and low thermal conductivity of aggrelite™ make it useful for frost protection.
